Just a note to say I found the answer in previous list discussion. Got it going.
Thanks,
Larry

Subject: debug option

Hi,

I am working with a software package that recently migrated from an earlier version of ProvideX (7.00.0043) to the 9.10.9201.5 version of PXPlus. I u sed to be able to select the "debugging environment" from within the applic ation if I had a pvx.ini file including the lines:
[CONFIG]
DEBUG=1
I still have the option from within *NOMADS, but from main program forms, n o.
Sorry if this has been addressed before, and I'm assuming it has, but the b ig jump in pvx version late in the game has kept me out of the loop a bit.

Thanks for any help.

Larry

 Topic: getting webserver status with a PVX program (started Mon Oct 7, 2013)  View topic

It's correct that there aren't any commands to check this, but you can look
in the webserv.pid file as all active servers have a key in that file. For
example:

0010 BEGIN ; SET_PARAM 'XI'
0020 OPEN INPUT (1)"*web/webserv.pid"
0030 LOOP:
0040 LET K$=KEY(1,END=*END)
0050 IF MID(K$,1,1)<>"<" THEN PRINT "Active server: ",K$
0060 READ (1)
0070 GOTO LOOP

This is correct :
->x$=""
->x$=arg(edit x$,1,"aaa","|");?x$
aaa|
->x$=arg(edit x$,3,"ccc","|");?x$
aaa||ccc|
->x$=arg(edit x$,2,"bbb","|");?x$
aaa|bbb|ccc|

This is not correct (please note the extra SEP inserted) :
->x$=""
->x$=arg(edit x$,1,"aaa");?x$
aaa

->x$=arg(edit x$,3,"ccc");?x$
aaa

ccc

->x$=arg(edit x$,2,"bbb");?x$
aaa
bbb

ccc
->? sub(x$,sep,"|")
aaa|bbb||ccc|

Thank you,

This has been addressed for the next build.

FWIW: The issue revolves around the fact that the high-order byte is on for the SEP.

Hi,

This question has not received any feedback from PxPlus Support Department for over a month and a half. Any insight ? If that's an oversight or a bug, any fix planned for a future release ?

Thx,
Stéphane

Stephane,

RTY is not a valid option. It's also mention back in a mail list posting
back 2008. See http://maillist.pvxplus.com/?0::91633

I will be out of the office Thursday, October 3rd through Wednesday, October 9th. I will be recovering from surgery and have been told that I will not be able to type for a week, so I guess I will not be able to check email.
